New Years Resolutions – where does one start? Well as far as this blog is concerned I thought I’d look back over all the posts I made in 2017 and take it from there. Learn through all the different social media what was popular and what wasn’t, the recipes I use most and those that people tell me they’ve enjoyed and recommended. So this is what this post is about – the favourite recipes of 2017 – though funnily enough I guess the title has already given that away!

Sri Lankan Veg Curry
This is by far and away the most popular recipe on all platforms. If you haven’t already tried it I would heartily suggest you do. Let me know what you think
Sticky Chicken with Pineapple and Cucumber Salad

Sticky Malaysian Chicken
I have to admit to being really surprised by this one as it was one of the first recipes I ever posted when I was just trying to see if I could actually do a blog! Part of me wonders if it’s because it has “sticky” in the title (apparently that’s a key recipe word in terms of appeal) but it is a really delicious recipe so who knows.

Vegan Chilli
Now this one did surprise me because in terms of views it did not perform well but in terms of personal feedback and the recipe I probably use most, It’s a clear winner
Chocolate Earl Grey Cake and Coffee Icecream

Chocolate Earl Grey Cake with coffee icecream
I would have called myself a savoury rather than sweet person so I was staggered by how many “sweet” recipes I seem to have posted These two (which go together) were incredibly popular They are so easy and delicious and tick so many dietary needs
Potato and Ricotta Gnocchi and Baked Mushroom and Spinach Gnocchi

Potato and Ricotta Gnocchi
These were the most remarked upon recipes of the year I think because it just looks so impressive and tbh something I’d shied away from because it seemed daunting It takes time but it’s good – and there are shortcuts to be had if you are rushed
Plum Shrub Fruit Liqueurs – Part 1 and Cider With Rosie

Plum Shrub
Perhaps unsurprisingly these are the recipes most people asked if they could try the end result lol

Overnight Porridge
And the tenth recipe I’ve chosen not just because it’s popular but because it is a delicious way to link back to New Years Resolutions and eating well!
I have to admit to being surprised by some of the results but it has been great fun to look back and share all these recipes with you again
Happy New Year!
Hi Rosie! What fun to look back through the year!! I’m pinning a couple of these recipes (Do you do Pinterest there?? It’s how I collect recipes to try!). The Malaysian chicken looks awesome and my son-in-law’s Mom is from Malaysia, so it would be fun to make for her!! So glad glad to have found your blog– I’ll be reading on this year to see what you are cooking!! Hope it’s a year full of the best blessings for you. Happy 2018 friend! xo
